By registering for a class with THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS, the student certifies that he/she have read the school policy page and fully understand its content.
The student is aware that this is a release of liability and a contract and is signing up for The Academy's program on he/she free will. THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS is not liable for the following:
Unless you explicitly make a written request to our management team not to be photographed, THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS has full permission to take photograph, video, or other digital media while you are on our premises. THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS has full and unrestricted publishing and use rights of these photographs in its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration.
The student understands and agrees that all photos will become the property of THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS and will not be returned.
The student authorizes THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, the student waives any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, the student waives any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo.
The student hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS from all claims, demands, and causes of action which the student, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on the student's behalf or on behalf of the student's estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.
If you have a food allergy or dietary restrictions, please let THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS know at the time of signing up for the program. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class. We will share your dietary needs with our chefs and do our best to accommodate your requests.
For the safety of all our students, we ask you come prepared for class. This includes adhering to few safety regulations in our kitchen:
Students have the right to cancel their enrollment and obtain a refund of charges paid through attendance at the first class session or the seventh calendar day after enrollment, whichever is later. After the end of the cancellation period, students also have the right to stop school at any time; students will not receive a pro rata refund.
Students who are absent and fail to provide 24 hours advance notice will not receive a refund for missed classes but may make up missed classes in future programs based on space availability, plus food cost expense. However, if students who missed classes with advanced notice may make up missed classes in any future programs without incurring additional fees.
Occasionally, THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS will have to reschedule or cancel a class. In these situations, we will contact you directly at the phone number or email address you have provided to let you know. If this should happen we will do our best to reschedule the class to another day. If we are not able to reschedule the class, we would be happy to offer you either a class credit for future use.
Certificate of Completion will only be given to students who complete the entire program including graduation requirements and cooking final.
