By registering for a class with THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS, the participant certifies that he/she have read the class guidelines page and fully understand its content. 


LIABILITY WAIVER


The participant is aware that this is a release of liability and a contract and is registering for this class on he/she free will.  THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS is not liable for the following:


  • Any damage, loss or theft incurred to personal property and/or equipment while participating in class, workshop, or program
  • Any bodily injuries, illness, accidents or damages which may occur as a result of participating in any class, workshop, or program on THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS and Poinsettia Pavilion's property


PHOTO RELEASE

Unless you explicitly make a written request to our management team not to be photographed, THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS has full permission to take photograph, video, or other digital media while you are on our premises.  THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS has full and unrestricted publishing and use rights of these photographs in its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration.

The participant understands and agrees that all photos will become the property of THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS and will not be returned.

The participant authorizes THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose.  In addition, the participant waives any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears.  Additionally,  the participant waives any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo.

The participant hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS from all claims, demands, and causes of action which the particiapnt, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on the participant's behalf or on behalf of the participant's estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS/ALLERGIES

If you have a food allergy or dietary restrictions, please let THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS know at the time of booking a class.  Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.  We will share your dietary needs with our chefs and do our best to accommodate your requests.

CLASS PROTOCOL


For the safety of all our participants, we ask you come prepared for class.  This includes adhering to few safety regulations in our kitchen:


  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes
  • In food preparation classes, please keep long hair tied back
  • You will work with other participants in groups of 2 or 4
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 14 participants
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • You will enjoy a generous taste of every dish


CANCELLATION POLICY

THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS does not offer cash refund if you are unable to attend the class you've purchased a seat for.  However, if you notify us 72-hours before a class that you will not be able to attend you may do one of two things:


  • Transfer your payment to another class   --OR--
  • Designate someone else to attend in your place for a scheduled class


Occasionally, THE ACADEMY OF CULINARY ARTS will have to reschedule or cancel a class. In these situations, we will contact you directly at the phone number or email address you have provided to let you know.  If this should happen we will do our best to transfer you to another day the identical class is being instructed.  If we are not able to provide you with a class transfer, we would be happy to offer you either a class credit for future use or a full refund.
